Anunciação
Pattern design for brasilian fashion brand Anunciação inspired in São Jorge’s prayer:

“I am dressed and armed with the weapons of Saint George so that my enemies, having feet will not reach me; having hands will not trap me; having eyes will not see me, neither with thought can they cause me harm.
Firearms will not reach my body; knives and swords will break without touching my body, ropes and chains will break without tying my body.”...

São Jorge is revered as a protector in Brazilian culture and is often syncretized with Ogum, an orishá brought to Brazil by African slaves. These pattern designs pays homage to São Jorge's spiritual significance, incorporating elements of strength, courage, and protection. As the patron saint of warriors and defenders, São Jorge's presence infuses the pattern with a sense of empowerment and resilience.
